Amazon Prime Video's Suzhal - The Vortex is all set to drop on the OTT giant on June 17. The much-awaited series is a crime thriller that goes beyond the routine police investigation and threatens to shake up the cultural societal fabric, when a crime takes place in a small town in Tamil Nadu. The plot is set against the backdrop of a village festival. As ancient myths collide with the circumstances of the present, it unravels many deep hidden secrets.
The series, directed by Bramma and Anucharan M, stars Kathir, Aishwarya Rajesh, Radhakrishnan Parthiban, Sriya Reddy among others. The show is produced, written and created by the popular filmmaker duo Pushkar and Gayatri
Amazon Prime Video recently dropped a promo of the thriller featuring Aishwarya Rajesh, one of the characters of the show. In the promo, we see that Aishwarya's character had always wanted to leave her town as felt suffocated there. We also see her fighting for a cause and saying that all the secrets need to come to light.
Talking about the series, Aishwarya Rajesh had said that she was quite excited about Suzhal. She said that she was glued to her seat when she watched big-budgeted films like Bahubali and KGF. She added that now that she was part of such a huge project, she couldn't ask for more.
The cast and crew of Suzhal - The Vortex is leaving no stone unturned to keep the anticipation high among the audience. The trailer of the series has crossed 50 million plus views globally just two days within launch. The trailer garnered massive love and appreciation not only from viewers but film fraternity and critics from all across the country.
Suzhal - The Vortex will have subtitles in over 30 languages including Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, English along with foreign languages like French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Arabic, Turkish and Japanese amongst others. This is said to be the first Tamil Original Series on OTT to have such a reach, across 240 countries and territories in over 30 languages!
