Taapsee Pannu joined the Advisory Board of the Hemkunt Foundation. The Bollywood actor has been named the foundation's first female ambassador and will collaborate with the foundation to raise awareness of readily available, reasonably priced healthcare.
Hemkunt Foundation helped when the country's medical and healthcare facilities were difficult to secure and had a positive impact on 4.2 million people's lives.
The appointment of Taapsee to the advisory board is a step in the right direction. The actor is a passionate and outspoken person who has previously worked with groups like Nanhi Kali to support the education of disadvantaged girls across the nation. Additionally, she has played a significant role in raising awareness of menstruation health. To eliminate stigmas associated with menstruation, she has collaborated with numerous businesses and organisations.
She will be raising awareness for Hemkunt Foundation's main project, HF Mobile 100 (Hospital on Wheels), as well as their Dhabba Nahi campaign regarding menstrual hygiene and so on.
Taapsee vows to make a real difference in society. “The impact that the foundation created throughout the years amazes me. During the Covid, their steadfast effort prevented millions of deaths. The organisation makes sure that everyone has access to healthcare, which is something I really believe is a fundamental right. I am happy to work with them.”
Hemkunt Foundation already introduced 21 Mobile Medical Units around India as part of its flagship project, HF Mobile 100. These mobile medical units, often known as hospitals on wheels, are positioned in remote areas of seven different states to offer medical services in difficult-to-reach places. Every day, each MMU affects the lives of over 100 people. It seeks to improve 1 crore of lives by offering healthcare in India's most isolated regions.
Dhabba Nahi is an access programme that aims to provide basic menstrual hygiene kits to women during their periods for those living in underprivileged areas of rural and urban villages.
On the professional front, Taapsee, who was last seen in Dobaaraa, has Jana Gana Mana, Alien, Blurr, and Dunki, in her kitty.
