A day ahead of its theatrical release, the team of Shyam Singha Roy, a Telugu film starring Nani, Krithi Shetty and Sai Pallavi, released a new number titled Tara, sung by Karthik and lyricised by Krishna Kanth. The easy-going, soothing track takes the viewer through the many difficulties and challenges experienced by a character in the film Vasu (Nani), a director while making his film along with his friends and the lead actress Keerthi (Krithi Shetty). The breezy, mellowed tone of the visually pleasing, aesthetically shot song is a delight to the senses.

In the lyrical video, Krithi Shetty is gradually waking up on a lazy morning and is greeted with 'good morning messages' from a filmmaking crew, comprising Nani, Abhinav Gomatam and Ankith Koyya. The video provides glimpses of the crew's struggles in getting the right shots of a dreamy-looking Krithi. In parts of the song, she is even dressed like a fairy. The latter is seen giving finishing touches to a painting placed on the floor. By the end of the song, it's quite obvious that the characters played Nani and Krithi are gradually falling in love with one another.

The video offers a sneak-peek into the making of the song with the actors in the presence of director Rahul Sankrityan. The visual references to Mani Ratnam, Chiranjeevi and other vintage film posters add authenticity to the vibe of the song. The on-screen camaraderie between Nani, Abhinav Gomatam and Ankith Koyya is a delight to watch and so is the chemistry between the lead actors. Tara is expected to be the first number in the film that introduces audiences to the world of its lead characters, before it transports them back to the 70s.

Mickey J Meyer has yet again proved his consistency with a fantastic album for Shyam Singha Roy, reasserting his worth as a quality melody maker. The other songs like Pranavaalaya, Siri Vennela, Rise of Shyam and Edo Edo have impressed music lovers as well. Sanu John Varghese is cranking the camera for the film. Venkat Boyanapalli has bankrolled the reincarnation drama under Niharika Entertainment. Netflix has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of the project.
