Golden Star Ganesh might have aged a bit since the Gaalipata days but his charm has the same effect on the audience as ever. The actor celebrates his birthday today and to mark the day, team Gaalipata 2 has released a rather special track from the film. What makes the song special, you ask? Well, a certain Mr. Sonu Nigam lends his mesmeric voice to Ganesh to rekindle lovely memories of the past days, and to make things better, lyricist Jayant Kaikini joins the mix to make this one for pure nostalgia.

Titled Naanaadadaa Maathellava, the song comes in the lyrical video format which also shows glimpses of the on-screen chemistry between Ganesh and Vaibhavi Shandilya's characters. Gaalipata 2 also marks the maiden collaboration of music composer Arjun Janya and director Yogaraj Bhat and the former has already promised to live up to the expectations set by his colleague V. Harikrishna. Harikrishna has been a longtime associate of Bhat but owing to his present commitments as a director, Arjun Janya stepped in as the composer of Gaalipata 2.

The first single of the film, titled Exam Song, was released a few weeks ago to a positive response. Vijay Prakash renders the song with Yogaraj Bhat penning the lyrics.

Gaalipata, the 2008 film, had Ganesh, Diganth Manchale, and playback singer Rajesh Krishnan play the three male leads with Daisy Bopanna, Neethu, and Bhavana Rao featuring as the female leads. Although Gaalipata 2 isn't a sequel, so to speak, but one can expect the upcoming film to carry the same charm and ethos of the 2008 film - Pawan Kumar joins the cast and so do Vaibhavi Shandilya, Sharmiela Mandre, and Samyuktha Menon. Veterans Anant Nag and Rangayana Raghu will play key roles. Nishvika Naidu too will be seen making a special appearance in the film which hits the big screens on August 12.
