Neeraja Kona makes her directorial debut with Telusu Kada
Siddu Jonnalagadda, who’s currently filming for Tillu Square and awaits its release in February 2024, signed two new projects, which were formally launched recently. While one of them is directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar, where he teams up with Vaishnavi Chaitanya, the other project is Telusu Kada, helmed by stylist Neeraja Kona. Raashii Khanna, Srinidhi Shetty play the female leads in the latter.
Commemorating Raashii Khanna’s birthday, a new poster of Telusu Kada was launched today. “Wishing #RaashiiKhanna a very Happy Birthday!! May your year be filled with love and happiness - Team #TelusuKada,” People Media Factory, the production house behind the film tweeted. Raashii sports an elegant yellow sari with shiny jhumka and rings complementing her dreamy look in the poster.
Going by the early promos, Telusu Kada is a feel-good romance drama that unfolds amidst a culinary backdrop. Nithiin, Neeraja Kona’s good friend, even revealed that it is one of the best scripts he has read recently. Bharadwaj Munimanikym, Mithun Chaitanya are the other writers in the film which will have music by S Thaman. Yuvraj J is the cinematographer and Sreekar Prasad has come on board as editor.
While Raashi was seen in the hit OTT show Farzi, that was out on Amazon Prime Video earlier this year, she’ll have multiple releases apart from Telusu Kada. She’s already come on board for the fourth instalment of the horror comedy franchise Aranmanai and pairs up alongside Sidharth Malhotra for Yodha. In addition, she’s also apart of Medhavi, directed by Pa. Vijay.
The actress, who turns 33 today, made her film debut with John Abraham starrer Madras Cafe and forayed into Telugu cinema with Oohalu Gusagusalade. Some of her popular films in the industry include Bengal Tiger, Supreme, Jai Lava Kusa, Tholi Prema, Venky Mama, Prati Roju Pandage, Thiruchatrambalam and Sardar. She is also a gifted singer, having crooned for a handful of Tamil, Malayalam songs.
