Through Thai Massage, Imtiaz Ali promises to bring to the silver screen a unique coming-of -age tale. The makers recently announced the release date of the upcoming slice of life film, which stars Gajraj Rao and Divyenndu Sharma.
Ali, who serves as a producer on the film, shared the news through his official social media handles. Ali’s post included new stills from the upcoming film featuring its two main leads. Rao is seen sporting white hair and glasses. In the caption of the post, Ali mentions how the film will be a coming of age tale of a 70 year old man.
The film will be released on August 26.

The film revolves around the story of an elderly man who faces the issue of erectile dysfunction. In addition to Rao and Mirzapur star Sharma, the upcoming film also features Sunny Hinduja, Rajpal Yadav, Vibha Chibber and Russian actress Alina Zasobina in pivotal roles. The film is written and directed by National Award winning filmmaker Mangesh Hadawale.
Ali is producing the project along with T-Series Films and Reliance Entertainment. The film is presented by Gulshan Kumar, T-Series Films and Reliance Entertainment
Meanwhile, Ali is also the producer and creator of the Netflix series She, which is gearing up for the release of its second season. The Rockstar director is also working on Chamkila, touted to be a biopic based on the life of late Punjabi musician Amar Singh Chamkila. Diljit Dosanjh will reportedly essay the role of the titular protagonist in the film, while Parineeti Chopra will reportedly essay the role of the film’s female lead. However, an official announcement regarding the same is yet to be made.
