Thalapathy Vijay to not charge a penny for his cameo in Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan?

Speculations were abuzz that Thalapathy Vijay was going to make a cameo appearance in Atlee's Hindi debut, Jawan, featuring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead. The latest we hear is that the Beast actor won't be charging any remuneration, for the same. According to reports, in September 2022, Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee will shoot important sequences of Jawan, and Vijay has allotted a day for the shoot in mid-September. For now, the makers had been scouting for the location. However, we await confirmation.

Atlee and Vijay share a wonderful rapport, and the former has directed the latter in commercially-successful films like Bigil, Mersal and Theri.

Jawan also stars Nayanthara in a prominent role, who has shot a few scenes with Shah Rukh Khan in Mumbai recently. Unconfirmed reports suggest that Vijay Sethupathi and Yogi Babu will also be seen in the film, although it hasn't been made official.

Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, Jawan, is set to release on June 2, 2023, across five languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music for Jawan, which is touted to be an action entertainer.

Talking about Jawan, in a statement, Shah Rukh Khan said, “It is a universal story that goes beyond languages, geographies and is for all to enjoy. Credit goes to Atlee for creating this unique film, which has also been a fantastic experience for me as I love action films! The teaser is the just tip of the iceberg and gives a glimpse into what’s to come."

Talking about creating Jawan, director Atlee said, “The film has something in it for everyone; be it actions, emotions, drama all woven into a visual spectacle. I want to give the audiences an exceptional experience, an event which they all can enjoy together and who better to deliver it than Shah Rukh Khan himself, presented like never before."
