The Brutalist (Adrien Brody), a Jewish-Hungarian architect and survivor of the Holocaust, was released in theatres in 2024. The film recounts László Tóth's (Adrien Brody) journey, who tries to start over in America after fleeing war-torn Europe. A complex relationship focused around ambition, power, and creativity develops when he attracts the attention of affluent industrialist Harrison Lee Van Buren (Guy Pearce).
Art, family, post-war trauma, and the conflict between commercialism and creative integrity are all themes that are touched upon throughout the novel, which spans multiple decades. Raffey Cassidy plays László's niece Zsófia, a silent adolescent profoundly affected by her history, and Felicity Jones plays Erzsébet Tóth, László's wife and fellow survivor, in addition to Brody and Pearce. Joe Alwyn, Stacy Martin, Alessandro Nivola, Emma Laird, and Isaach de Bankolé are all part of the ensemble cast.

Adrien Brody was named Best Actor, and the film took home the trophy for Best Original Score and the cinematography award. Among the many accolades the film received at the 82nd Golden Globes was Best Motion Picture—Drama.
The Brutalist solidified its position as a seminal cultural production of modern cinema by being named one of the Top 10 Films of 2024 by the American Film Institute.
Prime Video and ZEE5 did offer the film for rent to Indian customers in the past, but it was only available for pay-per-view. JioHotstar's upcoming release on June 28 allows members to watch the film without incurring additional rental fees. Fans of creative cinema and historical themes are likely to see the offer as a way to increase the film's impact and audience reach.
The period drama The Brutalist by Brady Corbet reintroduces VistaVision, a high-resolution widescreen cinema format, and delves into a profoundly intimate post-Holocaust story, giving it a visual identity that matches its narrative ambition.
