A still from The Family Man 2.

Soon after The Family Man’s season 2 released on June 3, fans of the show took to Twitter to express their thoughts about the series. Interestingly, they have loved Samantha Akkineni, who makes her digital debut with the Hindi show, more than even the lead actor Manoj Bajpayee.

The scene where Samantha pledges to protect the Tamil race, has especially resonated well with the audience. While some of the fans got goosebumps, the others were convinced that she lived her role as Raji.

Here are some of the reactions:

The Family Man 2 begins exactly where The Family Man left off - at the moment when Aravind (played by Sharad Kelkar) and Suchi (Priyamani) leave from Lonavala. In the previous season, Suchi and Srikant (Manoj Bajpayee)'s marriage was in a rocky space, with people wondering whether Suchi cheated on Sri with her colleague Aravind.

Apart from Priyamani, Manoj, Sharad and Samantha, the Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. (better known as Raj and DK) directorial also features Sharib Hashmi, Seema Biswas, Darshan Kumar, Sunny Hinduja and Shreya Dhanwantary in pivotal roles. They reprise their roles from the first season.

There is still no update about The Family Man’s third season. Fans from Tamil Nadu and Telangana, however, are waiting to see the show in their native languages.

It would thus be safe to say that just like the critics, the audiences are also loving the show which is one of the most-loved Amazon Prime Originals.
