The first look of Shiva's Single Shankarum Smartphone Simranum released

The first look poster of Single Shankarum Smartphone Simranum, starring Shiva, was released by the makers, featuring the RJ-turned-actor in a Billa 2-esque pose, with the Hulk and Iron Man accompanying him, as henchmen.

Directed by newbie Vignesh Sha PN, a former ad filmmaker, Single Shankarum Smartphone Simranum has Megha Akash and Anju Kurian playing the female leads.

A report published by Cinema Express reads, "Shiva plays a food delivery executive and he happens to find a phone made for single men, who are unable to get into a relationship. Megha Akash will be playing the AI in the mobile that helps the lead get his lady love."

Touted to be a sci-fi fantasy, Single Shankarum Smartphone Simranum is expected to be the long form of Vignesh's short film, IPhone Sirium Ayanavaram Ravium.

Produced by Kumar K under the banner Lark Studios, the film went on floors today with an official puja, last year.

Single Shankarum Smartphone Simranum marks the first collaboration of Shiva and Megha Akash.

While comedian Shah Ra plays the scientist who invents the futuristic phone, Anju will be seen as Shiva's love interest. Apart from them, the film has Ma Ka Pa Anand, singer Mano, KPY Bala, Bugs, Kalki Raja, Divya Ganesh and Rajendran playing pivotal roles.

Single Shankarum Smartphone Simranum has music by Leon James, editing by Boopathy Selvaraj and cinematography by Arthur A Wilson.

Speaking more about the film, Vignesh told Cinema Express, "The looks and body language of Simran would be something fans would love. Anju Kurian plays a youngster who is hooked to the social media. The film is a fantasy romantic comedy, which can be enjoyed by the audience across ages."

Shiva is also awaiting the release of Sumo, Golmaal and Kasethan Kadavulada.
