Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files is creating a storm all across and the same was evident in even its second weekend’s Box Office collections. The film is now in its second Monday but the craze is equal to what the opening day of the film looked like. Thus, according to Box Office India’s predictions, the movie might earn Rs. 15 crores even on its second Monday.

The Sunday Box Office collection for the film was Rs. 25 crores, which is an all-time high for a movie made on a budget of approximately Rs. 10 crores. Since it was a weekend, the Box Office is expected to rise but since Monday is a working day and many people cannot go to theatres to watch the film, it is only natural for the Box Office collections to drop.

If not 15 crores, the movie is expected to mint at least Rs. 13-14 crores nett on the second Monday. The movie is expected to keep earning in double digits throughout the week. While it began the first week barely touching Rs. 100 crores, the second week looks promising and it wouldn’t be a surprise if The Kashmir Files ends up minting Rs. 120 crores nett in week two.

In that case, the movie will be only the second highest after Baahubali: The Conclusion in week two’s Box Office collection. Even if it mints a little over Rs. 100 crores nett, the movie will be the third highest Bollywood film to collect that much in its second week.

The Kashmir Files has a huge benefit in the number of screens it has received. The movie started off with lesser screens but due to the audience demand, The Kashmir Files took over most screens in both single screens and multiplexes.

Thanks to that move, various big-budget films including Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi and Akshay Kumar’s Bachchhan Paandey have been affected. The latter has been facing most of its effect since the Akshay Kumar starring film is struggling to cross even Rs. 50 crore mark despite it being an Akshay film (which usually crosses at least Rs. 75-100 crores within the first week itself).
