The most sophisticated intelligence agents are all set to bring their suave services to OTT soon, as The King’s Man has finally received a digital premiere date. The film will be available to stream on Disney+Hotstar.
The King’s Man explores the origin story of the titular private intelligence agency. It follows the story of the agency’s founder, Orlando Oxford, who tries to thwart the plans of a group of dangerous criminals to wage a devastating war. Although the film follows a fictional story, it includes several real-life historical figures including Grigori Rasputin, Erik Jan Hanussen, King George, Tsar Nicholas and more.
The film is a prequel and marks the third and latest instalment in the popular Kingsman spy film series. The franchise is based on the comic book series, The Secret Service by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons. The previous two films, titled Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014) and Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017), starred Taron Egerton, Mark Strong and Colin Firth in lead roles.
The King’s Man features an ensemble cast comprising Ralph Fiennes, Gemma Arterton, Rhys Ifans, Matthew Goode, Tom Hollander, Harris Dickinson, Daniel Brühl, Djimon Hounsou, and Charles Dance.
The film is directed by Matthew Vaughn, who has also directed the first two Kingsman films. The film’s screenplay is written by Vaughn along with Karl Gajdusek.
Catch The King’s Man on Disney+Hotstar on April 8, 2022. The film can be watched in English and Hindi. The film was earlier released in theatres on December 31, 2021.
