Actress Malavika Mohanan plays one of the female leads in Telugu star Prabhas' much-awaited movie The Raja Saab, set to release on January 9, 2026. The actress, who was last seen in Mohanlal’s Malayalam film Hridayapoorvam, recently spoke about shooting for The Raja Saab. While she stated that it was easy to do romantic scenes with Prabhas, she revealed her most uncomfortable sequence involved shooting in a pool for three days, fighting an ‘imaginary crocodile’.

The Raja Saab is an upcoming Telugu movie, directed by Maruthi, which blends fantasy and horror elements. During a recent interview with Gulte, actress Malavika Mohanan revealed that it is easy to shoot romantic scenes with Prabhas in the movie, terming it as cute and comfortable.
"Whenever Prabhas sir and I had any romantic scenes, that was easy because we were feeding off each other's chemistry. It is a give and take. There is no fantasy element,” she remarked
“But on the contrary, there is a scene where my character is in a really large swimming pool, it was my solo sequence. I am in this really lovely chiffon saree. And we shot in that pool for three days, 10 hours on each day. The water was biting cold and I had to imagine that a crocodile was attacking me. My body is cold, numb, and I was uncomfortable,” the Hridayapoorvam actress explained.

The teaser released earlier showed a glimpse of Malavika in the pool, looking terrified. In another glimpse shared, we see a brave Prabhas tackling the crocodile and defeating it.
