The countdown for Trisha's revenge thriller, The Road, has begun. The action-packed film, which is helmed by Arun Vaseegaran, is all set to hit screens on October 6. The makers made the official announcement on their social media handle.

The film's production house, AAA Cinemaa Pvt Limited, dropped a release date announcement video in which Trisha is seen headed for a revenge. Sam CS's pulsating provides the thrills in the background. They captioned the video, "The countdown begins - Are you ready for the sweetest
Trisha in an action-packed avatar
After her appearance as the beautiful and brilliant Chola Princess Kundavai in Mani Ratnam's historical fiction, Ponniyin Selvan, Trisha will be seen in an action avatar in her next. The makers had released a making video on her birthday (May 4) in which the actress is seen in the middle of a journey and later scouting for someone amid a banana plantation. In yet another poster, Trisha is wielding a gun. The film is said to be based on a real-life incident which happened two decades ago.
Cast and crew
The star cast includes Shabeer Kallarakkal, Santhosh Prathap, Miya George, MS Bhaskar, Vela Ramamoorthy, Vivek Prasanna, Laxmi Priya and others. While KG Venkatesh has handled the cinematography, editing is by Nagooran. Art direction is by Siva Yadav and stunt choreography is by Phoenix Prabhu.
Trisha, awaiting the release of Leo
October will also have Lokesh Kanagaraj's most-awaited film, Leo, hitting the screens. The film, which stars Thalapathy Vijay and Trisha in the lead, is gearing up for release on October 19. The film has an ensemble star cast including Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Mysskin, Gautham Menon, Priya Anand, Mansoor Ali Khan, Mathew Thomas to name a few. The advance booking for the tickets have already begun.
