Ishaan Khatter-Bhumi Pednekar's The Royals has just proven that a classic song is best left untouched. They have shared a glimpse of Tu Tu Hai Wahi, which they reprised from the original track from the movie Yeh Vaada Raha featuring Rishi Kapoor and Poonam Dhillon, and it is surprisingly quite delightful to listen to this version too. The Royals even works on the visual level, for there is chemistry, romance and as the makers like to call it 'a royal mess.' We much rather think this is their 'mic drop' moment, and it comes at a crucial point.

Tu Tu Hai Wahi is 'a royal mess that deserves the mic drop'

Although The Royals plot itself could be about the royal mess, given the attitude of the royal Indian family, there is absolutely nothing messy about either the song Tu Tu Hai Wahi or the video. In fact, the chemistry, the romance and the whole 'vibe' is very much there. Thus, we would like to call it The Royals' 'mic drop moment' instead. Finally, there's a recreation worth looking forward to!

Rishi Kapoor majorly missed for another reason recently

Yeh Vaada Raha featured Rishi Kapoor in the lead role. The actor was majorly missed, for the sequel to his 2018 film Mulk took off. Unfortunately, Rishi Kapoor died of cancer in 2020 and thus, his character in the sequel would either have to be discontinued or be replaced. But, of course, there's no replacing what the actor was.

The Royals vs Kull vs Maharani?

The Royals is in direct competition with the recently announced web series Kull. Both stories based on royal families will be out in May, with Kull streaming before The Royals despite a later announcement. Can that affect The Royals? We hardly think so.

And while we have the clash of the royals, the clear winner is Maharani, featuring Huma Qureshi in the lead role. Even without a confirmed release date, that is the only show based on power (and some glamour) that has four seasons straight. The wait for season 4 continues.

The Royals trailer out tomorrow

Interestingly, Tu Tu Hai Wahi song was unveiled just before the trailer releases. Yes, the promo of the upcoming series will be out tomorrow i.e. on April 22. Are you excited for this one? Because we can barely wait to see what new does the show have to offer!
