The shooting of Abir Chatterjee and Ritabhari Chakraborty’s Bahurupi starts

Abir Chatterjee and Ritabhari Chakraborty will team up once again after their film, Fatafati. They are the stars of Bohurupi – Siboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy’s Puja release. According to reports, Bahurupi's shooting started on March 12. 

After Raktabeej, Windows Production will release Bahurupi this Durga Puja. The production house announced that the shooting started on Tuesday. On the Facebook page of the house, the shooting’s clapstick’s photo was posted. The caption said, “Bahurupi started its journey today with people’s blessings and love.” Shiboprosad Mukherjee posted the photo and wrote, “Bahurupi is nonviolent. Bahurupi doesn’t harm people. We started the shooting with your blessings.”

Actress Koushani Mukherjee and Siboprosad Mukherjee will also be in the film. It is said to be based on a true incident. It was planned in 2011 while shooting the film Muktadhara. The story spans from 1998 to 2003.

Shiboprosad previously said that Bahurupi will have the highest budget among films produced by Windows. Its shooting will go on for 40 days, which will be the longest schedule in the director duo’s career. The shooting will take place in Bolpur, Baranagar, Beldanga, Bantala, etc. 

Previously, Siboprosad told Anandabazar, “The script is based on an important crime which is important in Lalbazar’s history also. It was planned during Muktodhara. The work got delayed due to Covid 19. At last, we could start the film after twelve years.’ He said that the protagonist of the real incident is still alive. They gave their statements in the film. This is a bigger incident than Raktabeej.” 

Abir, on pairing up with Ritabhari again, said, “Thanks to the directors for bringing back our pair and trusting us. We will try to meet people’s expectations.” After Fatafati, Abir worked with Windows in Raktabeej.
