Likith Shetty’s second film with director Arjun Kumar S was one of three films by the late Puneeth Rajkumar’s production house, PRK Films, to get direct-to-OTT releases. The film, which released on Amazon Prime Video in February, was well received by critics and audiences alike.
The film follows the life of medical Abhi (Likith Shetty), who comes from a broken household and nurses feelings for fellow student and aspiring social media influencer, Bhoomika (Amrutha Iyengar). A loner who remains relatively invisible in college, Abhi decides to end his life, only to be saved in the nick of time by a ‘friendly’ ghost, Manjunath, played by Rangayana Raghu. Manjunath makes it his mission to get Abhi the girl of his dreams, but realizes along the way that Bhoomika and her family have a personal connect with him.
The soulful track Bekagide, written, composed and sung by Viraj Kannadiga, comes at a point in the narrative when Abhi is troubled with regard to his relationship with Bhoomika. The song that highlights the inward journey of an individual is composed, sung, and penned by popular musician Viraj Kannadiga. “Bekagide is a track that captures the particular emotions which the film’s lead character Abhi (Likith Shetty) feels when he finds himself troubled in regards to his love interest. Love is one complex and intense emotion, and journey to find your soulmate also takes time, effort and dedication. The song is in sync with the surrounding atmosphere and what ones feels within, breathing life into the passionate love between the lead characters. Fans and audiences who have been showering appreciation on the movie since its release will truly cherish this heartfelt track,” said Viraj.
