The makers of Theera Kaadhal, which is releasing this Friday, have come up with a sneak peek video in which a crucial scene has been revealed. The characters of Jai and Aishwarya Rajesh who are ex-lovers meet after several years at Palakkad railway station in the wee hours.
They exchange pleasantries and continue their journey in the same train which is headed towards Mangaluru. They enquire about each other's families; while Jai leads a happy life with his wife and a daughter, Aishwarya and her husband are planning a baby.
Billed as a romantic drama with ample dose of emotions, the Rohin Venkatesan directorial stars Sshivada, too, in the lead role. The director himself has penned the screenplay along with GR Surendarnath while Ravivarman Neelamegam has cranked the camera.
Siddhu Kumar and Prasanna GK have composed music and handled editing respectively for the movie which has art direction by Ramu Thangaraj. Radhika has choreographed dance sequences while Don Ashok has composed action scenes. Netflix has bagged the digital rights of Theera Kaadhal earlier. Its OTT premiere is expected to happen in the last week of June.
Lyca Productions has bankrolled the project which marks the fifth movie of Aishwarya Rajesh this year after Run Baby Run, The Great Indian Kitchen, Soppana Sundari and Farhana. Sshivada was seen in Vallavanukkum Vallavan this year while Jai was seen in a cameo in Ghosty in 2023.
Theera Kaadhal is clashing with Kazhuvethi Moorkkan at the box office. The latter stars Dushara Vijayan and Arulnithi in lead roles.
