Fans are in for a special treat as the upcoming installment of the Thor series brings them not one but three exciting goodies. The Chris Hemsworth - Natalie Portman starrer is all set to release on July 7 in India and the film will carry the trailers of three big films – namely Brahmastra: Part One Shiva, Avatar: The Way of Water, and Shamshera. Popular trade analyst and film personality Taran Adarsh took to social media a short while ago to share this update ahead of the Marvel release.
Thor: Love and Thunder has been co-written and directed by New Zealand filmmaker Taika Waititi who had also helmed the previous and third part of the Thor series, titled Thor: Ragnarok. Hemsworth returns as the hammer-wielding God of Thunder albeit in slightly different-yet-comical circumstances, while embarking on a quest for inner peace. Academy award winner Christain Bale joins the cast as Gorr the God Butcher with Russell Crowe playing the role of Zeus.
Brahmastra: Part One Shiva will hit the big screens on September 9 and stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Akkineni Nagarjuna. Planned as a trilogy, the upcoming film has been written and directed by Ayan Mukherji with Karan Johar co-producing it. The film’s trailer was released online a few weeks ago to an encouraging response.
Ranbir Kapoor might have not had a theatrical release since 2018 but the second-half of 2022 is likely to be a watershed phase in his acting career. Along with Brahmastra, he has another big release in the form of Shamshera, a period epic also starring Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt. Karan Malhotra, who has previously directed films like Zanjeer (with Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, and Sanjay Dutt) and Brothers (remake of the Hollywood film Warrior, starring Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra), has helmed Shamshera in his maiden collaboration with Kapoor.
Avatar: The Way of Water is part two of the highly ambitious franchise created by James Cameron. Although very little is known about the storyline of The Way of Water, the film has Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldaña reprising their roles with Kate Winslet, who has previously collaborated with Cameron on Titanic, joining the cast.
