#ThrowbackThursday | When Sushmita Sen opened up about her love life: 'They were all such amazing men, but so wrong for me'

Sushmita Sen has always been quite open about her love life and the men she'd dated. Last year, the actess grabbed a lot of eyeballs soon after ex-IPL Chairman Lalit Modi announced being in a relationship with her, post her breakup with Rohman Shawl. While there was a lot of trolling on social media, Sushmita hit back with a dignified response saying that's none of their business. 

Recently, the actress stepped out in style for HT India's Most Stylish Awards along with ex beau Rohman and her daughter. Netizens were quick to ask what happened to Lalit Modi? While rumour mills have been busy churning that the actress is back with ex flame Rohman, a report on BollywoodLife refutes the same. 

An insider was quoted as saying that Sushmita and Lalit Modi are more of friends, rather than being in a relationship like a boyfriend and girlfriend. The report also suggests that the Aarya actress is constantly in touch with Lalit Modi and the two are "taking it slow" and are happy in each other's space.

While speaking to Simi Garewal on her talk show Rendezvous with Simi Garewal back in early 2000s, Sushmita had opened up on the men she dated and what made her walk away from them. The actress said, "They were all such amazing men, but so wrong for me. I haven’t come close to saying that ‘I’ll walk the aisle with this person’."

The actress had also expressed that she's quite cautious as far as long-term commitment is concerned. "There have been times when I could have made a mistake. But something, somewhere has gone wrong. And then I’ve walked away with dignity,” Sushmita had told Garewal. 

The Aarya star shared that her equation with men changed around the time she adopted her elder daughter Renee. She mentioned that at one point she was looking for a boyfriend and a husband, "now I'm looking for all and a father."

For those who are uninitiated, Sushmita Sen and Rohman Shawl dated for about four years before calling it quits in December 2021. The two remain good friends till date. On the work front, Sushmita is gearing up for the third season of her hit web series Aarya. The first two seasons of the same can be streamed on Disney+ Hotstar.
