Malayalam superstar Mohanlal had earlier made the surprise announcement that his daughter Vismaya would also be entering the film world. It was announced that the 2018 director Jude Anthany Joseph would be helming this project. In the latest update, it has been said that Thudakkam would begin with a pooja ceremony on October 30, 2025.
Vismaya Mohanlal’s Thudakkam to begin soon
Vismaya Mohanlal’s debut film Thudakkam would have its pooja ceremony at 9.30am on October 30. Along with the crew, the who’s who of the industry is expected to participate in the event, which will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Kochi. Apart from director Jude Anthany Joseph, no other cast and crew details of the film have been revealed.
It is expected that more details about the cast and crew will known on Thursday.
Recently, Vismaya had shared photos of training in martial arts in Thailand, leading to speculations that she was preparing for Thudakkam, which could be focused on action.
Interestingly, the start of Thudakkam (which means Beginning) coincides with the release of her brother Pranav Mohanlal’s Dies Irae. Rahul Sadasivan has helmed Dies Irae which is slated for a wide release on October 31, but the paid premieres for the film will start on October 30 itself, making it quite a special day for the Mohanlal family.
Dies Irae is a much-anticipated film as it marks the third outing of Rahul Sadasivan after the noted films of Bramayugam and Bhoothakaalam, both of which revolve around horror tales. Pranav’s Dies Irae is also no different, and the chilling trailer promises yet another horror thriller. But what excited the fans the most was Mohanlal changing his profile picture, which also had red hues, akin to Dies Irae, this has led to netizens speculating that the superstar could make a cameo in the film.
Mohanlal, on the other hand, has already delivered three hits this year with reports claiming that he could be in contention for the Kerala State Awards after the Dadasaheb Phalke Award.
