Story:

Takemichi goes back in time to try and save Hina at least this time. He’s however unaware about all the difficulties lying on his path this time around.

Review:

The latest episode on Tokyo Revengers season 2 begins from Takemichi meeting Hakkai Shiba. Their meeting is rather interesting and sporty.

Hina, Akkun and Chifuyu’s mentions are back. Takemichi and Hina even have a funny angle to them.

Like always, Tokyo Revengers has a warmth from where you least expect it. This episode brings that kind of warmth, which is welcomed with open arms. The depth to which the brotherhood and friendship runs, has always been and is still the best part of the show.

Mitsuya and Hakkai have a mysterious angle to them from the first frame. They are also admirable right from their entry. Koko’s connection with them and Black Dragon is eventually revealed. Koko is the villain that come out as dangerous as they come. Even small actions help build his character to a whole new length.

The war between Black Dragon and Toman is revealed but not in depth. Thanks to them being poles apart, the situation in this episode gets tense to a point where there’s no coming back. And with that, the episode comes to an end, leaving you wondering what exactly will happen to the people you were rooting for.

Verdict:

The episode goes slightly off-beat for what Tokyo Revengers represents. It tries to be funny but almost fails at it. However, the one good thing about the show – about how heartwarming people are and how they turn cold-blooded – is still explored. That is what will keep you hooked to this episode right up to the end.
