Tollywood box office - Ambajipeta Marriage Band holds well while Bootcut Balaraju, Happy Ending, and Game On sink without a trace

As many as five films released this Friday, February 2, 2024. The only notable film among these was Ambajipeta Marriage Ba nd which had Suhas as the main lead. The village drama started with several paid premieres and was released with very good word of mouth. 

The collections of the film have been steady as the low-budget film made close to Rs 3 crore share at the box office in Telugu states. In the US, the film has picked up momentum and it has grossed $100k to date. For the film to be in the safe zone, it has to make a good amount today as it is a Sunday. As it is made on a low budget, the makers will end up in a safe zone for sure.

On the other hand, other releases, Bootcut Balaraju, Dheera, Game On, and Happy Ending have found no takers at the box office. A film like Bootcut Balaraju featuring Sohel has been removed from several theatres as there were no takers for it.

The film's main lead, Sohel became emotional in front of the press stating that his fans who loved him from Bigg Boss are not even watching the film. All said and done, Bootcut Balaraju is an outdated village drama that will end up in losses in the days to come. 

Happy Ending, Dheera, and Game On are not even finding any takers for them in Telugu states. Not many know such films came out in the first place. Such is the state of these films. So, in the next few days, Ambjaipeta Marriage Band will have not much competition but it also needs more audience to be in a safe zone.  

Next week, Ravi Teja will have a solo release in the form of Eagle which is all set to hit the screens on February 9, 2024. Karthik Ghattamaneni has directed this film which has Kavya Thapar as the heroine.

Post Sankranthi 2024, there has been no proper big film that has been released and the makers failed to use this gap. Also, the Sankranti films, Guntur Kaaram, Saindhav, and Naa Saami Ranga failed to create much of an impact at the box office. So, all eyes are now on Ravi Teja's Eagle which is the next biggie.
