From a time when fans were crying out loud on social media urging the makers of Toxic: A Fairy Tale For Grown Ups to begin promotions, to an abundance of it; everything’s turned around in the last week since the pre-release teaser dropped. In only two days, they have dropped character reveals of not 1 or 2 but 4 actors in the film. While Sudev Nair’s casting was known since the first teaser in January 2025 for Yash’s birthday, actor Akshay Oberoi had also been vocal about being a part of the film, even though both have not divulged much apart from how ginormous Toxic is.

Then, with the pre-release teaser, it was revealed that Kannada actor Balaji Manohar is also a part of the film. Turns out, he’s a character called Bheera, as per a new poster, who, it seems is someone in Raya’s camp, a confidante who also serves in an advisory position. He’s the one warning Raya about how things have changed and that it would be better for the kingpin to give it. Of course, it’s a warning that Raya does not pay heed to, as per the teaser.
Later in the day, they dropped another poster; this time for Darrel D’Silva, the British actor best known for his work on the series Van der Valk. He is Salvador, presumably among Raya’s more formidable opponents. The team had earlier revealed the five ladies of the film, Kiara Advani has Nadia, Rukmini Vasanth as Melissa, Huma Qureshi as Elizabeth, Nayanthara as Ganga and Tara Sutaria as Rebecca.

Yash was revealed to be playing at least two characters – Raya and Ticket – although netizens seem convinced there maybe more, given the different shots of the actor in the teaser in which he sports varied hairstyles and tattoos. Is it just a younger version of Raya? Well, it will all be revealed when the film releases in theatres on March 19, 2026.
