It looks like South Queen Trisha's upcoming venture, The Road, has become the talk of the town ever since the team dropped the film's action-packed trailer. The trailer hit 5 million views in a span of just 24 hours.

Character posters out
The team has now dropped the character posters of Shabeer and Santhosh Prathap, who play crucial roles in the film. Going by the posters, it looks like Dancing Rose Shabeer will be seen as a corporate employee Mayazhagan, and Santhosh Prathap will be seen as a photographer. The posters have piqued the curiosity among fans.

A thrilling trailer
The trailer has been trending on the third position ever since its release. The video provides a glimpse of Trisha's character Meera, who is on a mission to solve a mystery that has left her sleepless. As she sets off on the journey, things go awry as some of the vehicles involved in the chase meet with an accident. The tagline of the film says,  'Revenge in 462 kms' and it looks just like the line, the film will have some chills and thrills.

Star cast and crew
for the film includes Mia George, MS Bhaskar, Vivek Prasanna, Vela Ramamoorthy, Laxmi Priya, Semmalar Annam, Raatchasan Vinoth and Karuppu Nambiyaar as well. Music for the film is by Sam CS. While the cinematography is by KG Venkatesh, editing is by AR Shivaraj. Phoenix Prabhu has choreographed the stunts. The Road is bankrolled by AAA Cinemaa Pvt Limited and is gearing up for release in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.

 Trisha was last seen in Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan, in which she played Ilaiya Piratti Kundavai. The actress has been basking in the reviews for her performance and stunning looks in the magnum opus, helmed by Mani Ratnam. The actress also has a slew of projects that are yet to see the light of the day, including Paramapadham Vilayattu, Sathuranga Vettai 2 and Brinda.
