Tungkulung-E Eken trailer: Anirban Chakrabarti brings back the familiarity of Eken Babu

It is that time of the year when Anirban Chakrabarti, Suhotra Mukhopadhyay, and Somak Ghosh will be back on Hoichoi with a fresh season of Eken Babu. Tungkulung-E Eken will mark the seventh season of Eken Babu on the platform. The character – finely played by Anirban – enjoys massive popularity among the Bengali audience. This time, Satyam Bhattacharya and Debraj Bhattacharya join the team in the new adventure. 

The trailer of the show was dropped on November 23. The thing about Eken Babu is it gives you the comfort of familiarity. You practically know what to expect and the trailer brings that known flavour. The sense of humour, mystery, and Eken Babu’s quintessential idiosyncrasies are a must in the trailer. This one is no different.

This time Eken Babu embarks on a journey to find the culprit before the crime is committed. The trailer is dotted with humorous punchlines. Satyam and Debraj play men of Nepali origin. The look and feel of the trailer promise to offer the fun that the fans wait for.

Interestingly, this time Eken Babu has travelled a little far away from Kolkata – in North Bengal. While Eken Babu films are set outside Kolkata, the web shows are built in and around the city where they live (Kolkata and Bangalore). The trailer reminds us of the chase scenes from Eken Babu’s first film, which is also set in North Bengal. However, the trailer builds anticipation of a murder, suspense, and thrill – all laced with fun.
