Turbo Release Date is out - Mammootty, Vysakh's film to hit the theatres early

Turbo, the highly anticipated upcoming Mammootty starrer, which is helmed by hitmaker Vysakh, is gearing up for its grand theatrical release. The movie, which was originally supposed to hit the big screens on June 13, 2024, is now all set to be released early. Recently, leading man Mammootty took to his official social media handles and confirmed that Turbo is set to be released earlier than expected. The much-awaited project is now set to be released on May 23, 2024.

Turbo gets a new release date

As per the recent updates, Turbo is now gearing up to hit the big screens on May 23, 2024. The makers of the Mammootty starrer decided to release the film earlier than expected to ensure a solo global release with a massive number of screens. The latest updates suggest that the team has already wrapped up all major post-production work for Turbo, including dubbing and re-recording. The new update came out as a big surprise for the Malayalam cine-goers, who are eagerly waiting for the project.

Mammootty, who is also producing the film under his home banner Mammootty Kampany, took to his official social media handles and dropped the exciting update, along with a brand new poster of the movie. “Turbo Mode Will Be Activated....Sooner than Expected.... Turbo Jose will Storm Screens Worldwide from May 23rd Onwards. Get set to be Thrilled Like Never Before...,” reads Mammootty Kampany’s official X (formerly Twitter) post.

Turbo official teaser to release soon?

If the recent updates are to be believed, director Vysakh and his team are now actively working on the highly anticipated Turbo teaser, which is gearing up for its grand release. The grapevine suggests that the makers are planning to release the teaser of the film in a couple of days. The Mammootty starrer will also have an official trailer, which is expected to be released a week before its grand theatrical release.

The megastar is set to play the titular character Turbo Jose in the movie, which is set to feature him in an action-hero avatar after a long gap. The project, which is touted to be an action-comedy, is penned by famous writer-filmmaker, Midhun Manuel Thomas. Popular Telugu actor Sunil, Kannada actor-director Raj B Shetty, Antony Varghese, and others appear in supporting roles in the film, which is distributed by Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films and Truth Global Films.
