After collaborating with BTS' V on the beautiful song 'Wherever U R,' UMI has taken to social media to announce that the song's remixes will be released on Valentine's Day. Celebrating her birthday today, the American singer-songwriter stated that it is a Valentine's Day surprise from her and Kim Taehyung.

On X (formerly known as Twitter), UMI wrote, "wherever u r (feat. V of BTS) remixes 2/14 12AM EST / 2/15 2PM KST. Today I celebrate my birthday with this Valentine's Day surprise from me and Tae ( ◠‿◠ )".

The original song had already garnered love across the globe as V's soulful voice intertwined like magic with UMI's singing, creating a melody that is both tender and powerful.

Soon after UMI's announcement, it was enough to cheer ARMY, who have been missing their beloved idol V's voice since he enlisted in the South Korean military to undergo his mandatory service.

Where is BTS' V?

On February 8, Taehyung embarked on another significant milestone in his military service journey as he was seen heading towards his unit at Chuncheon Station in Gangwon Province. V will reportedly be stationed at the 2nd Division in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, where he will serve as a special forces member of the military police.

V's military journey commenced with his application to the Capital Defense Command Special Mission Division (SDT). After successfully passing rigorous screenings, interviews, and fitness tests, he proceeded to complete a 5-week basic training. Subsequently, V entered the Army's Comprehensive Administration School, where he underwent an additional three weeks of specialized training.

What about the other BTS members?

Alongside V, the group's leader RM also graduated from military training at the Nonsan Training Center, earning recognition as an elite trainee on January 16. Shortly after, on January 17, Jimin and Jungkook completed their basic military training at the 5th Division Recruit Training Center.

ARMY is also excited as the eldest member of BTS - Jin is expected to be released in June, while J-Hope will return in October 2024. SUGA, taking on the role of a social worker after he underwent shoulder surgery, will return with the rest in 2025, when the group has promised to make a comeback.
