Vadh: Sanjay Mishra, Neena Gupta are ill at ease in new posters; trailer out on this date

Vadh will see Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta star as an ordinary couple, whose dull lives are toppled by a shocking incident. The film promises a deep dive into the thrilling lives of an elderly couple named the Mishras, whose mundane lives suddenly become murderous. The makers recently unveiled new posters from the film.

The posters were shared on the official social media handles of Luv Films, the production banner bankrolling the film. The posters feature Sanjay and Neena. Although the duo look ordinary enough, their disturbed expressions seem to suggest something sinister lurking.

The post was captioned “Meet Shambhunath Mishra and Manju Mishra, as their mundane life is about to take an astonishing turn”.

The film's trailer will be released on November 22, Tuesday.

Vadh follows the story of Shambhunath Mishra, a retired school teacher, and his wife Manju Mishra. The duo lead a quiet and dull life, until their predictable middle class existence is rudely disrupted when Shambhunath murders a loan shark in a drastic turn of events. In order to evade arrest at the hands of the law, the couple wrack their brains and decide to plan the ‘perfect murder’, which cannot be connected to them no matter what. Sanjay stars as Shambhunath, and Neena essays the role of his wife Manju. The film features Prajapati Pandey in the role of the loan shark. Manav Vij also plays a prominent role in the film, which had previously been titled Gwalior.

The upcoming film was written and directed by Jaspal Singh Sandhu and Rajeev Barnwal. Luv Ranjan, Ankur Garg, Neeraj Ruhil, Subhav Sharma and Nymphea Saraf Sandhu have produced the film under the banners of Luv Films, J Studio and Next Level Productions.

Vadh will be released in theatres on December 9, 2022. The film will reportedly be available for streaming on Netflix after its theatrical run.
