Reports have previously suggested that Varun Dhawan will make his big OTT debut, starring in the Indian spin-off of the hit English TV series, Citadel. The actor has now teased his OTT debut.
According to India Today, the actor said in a recent media interaction without revealing anything big, “I love it (the platform). Something big and interesting is coming. But it won’t be released this year. I am excited about it.”
While the American sci-fi spy thriller is helmed by Joe and Anthony Russo and stars Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra in the lead, the Hindi version will reportedly be helmed by directing duo, Raj and DK and will also star Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
Dhawan also talked about his film career and pointed out that the pandemic has made him realise that life is not all about one’s professional life.
The actor added that his father, who has been working for so many years and in nearly 50 projects, had to sit at home. He said it made him realise that he is younger now and has to realise that life is also about personal growth.
He also talked about being able to interact and be with fans once again, and said that he would like to dedicate a few hours of his life to meet superstars like Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan, whom he is a fan of.
Dhawan was last seen in Coolie No. 1, and has two projects to be released. The first is a comedy-drama with Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor and Kiara Advani titled Jug Jugg Jeeyo and the second is a comedy-horror, Bhediya.
