Actor Shane Nigam’s upcoming film Vela is gearing up for its theatrical release. The Syam Sasi directorial will portray Shane as a police officer. This will be the second time the actor will be seen as a cop after Corona Papers, which was directed by Priyadarshan. The film revolves around an intricate relationship between two police officers, and promises to be a nail-biting thriller. Along with Shane, the film also features Sunny Wayne in a pivotal role. Vela is scheduled to hit the theatres on November 10, along with two other movies - Basil Joseph’s Falimy and the Dileep-starrer actioner Bandra.

Vela’s plot and lead characters

Going by the glimpses of Vela, the upcoming film is a rooted police procedural. Shane essays a policeman, who works in the police control room. He keeps getting many false messages after joining the wing, which puts him in a dilemma about whether or not to follow those messages, or to forward them to his superiors. The teaser of the film features Sunny in a rugged look, who is at loggerheads with Shane’s character.
