Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu: GVM-STR movie wraps up its second schedule

The Gautham Vasudev Menon and Silambarasan movie Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu is progressing at a brisk pace. Actor Silambarasan, or fondly called STR, shared a BTS picture of the movie declaring that the second schedule of the movie has been wrapped.

The photo features Gautham Menon and Silambarasan along with a crew member, checking out the shot. The actor is back to his 2010’s look with a trimmed moustache and beard. STR’s makeover for the movie was greatly appreciated by the fans. The first schedule of the movie was shot in Tiruchendur, Tamil Nadu and the second schedule began in August. The team will now go to Mumbai for their third schedule.

The movie will also mark the third collaboration of Gautham Vasudev Menon and Silambarasan for a feature film after the blockbuster Vinnaithandi Varuvaya and commercially successful Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada. They have also worked on a spin-off short film of Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya titled Karthik Dial Seytha Yenn in 2020.

Apart from STR, Radikaa Sarathkumar will also be seen playing a prominent role in the movie. While the female lead is not yet revealed, there are rumours that Kannada actress Kayadu Lohar is considered for the role. AR Rahman will be composing music for the movie. This will also mark the iconic music director’s third collaboration with Gautham Menon and STR after Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya and Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada.

Meanwhile, Simbu is looking for a comeback after the commercial failure of his last movie Eeswaran where he played a well-networked village guy who harbours a painful secret in his heart while saving a family to which he is indebted.
