Vicky Kaushal to reunite with Laxman Utekar for a warrior film, to be produced by Dinesh Vijan

Vicky Kaushal and Laxman Utekar's project, which is set in a small town, has already begun, the actor and filmmaker are planning to collaborate once more. In fact, the pair will work with Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films, which is already directing and producing their untitled project. But this time, the movie won't be a small-town, realistic endeavour; instead, it'll be a high-budget actioner. The movie will reportedly be biographical, while further information is being kept under wraps.

According to the reports, the movie will be a biography about a legendary historical figure. According to a source who confirmed the news to Peeping Moon, Laxman Utekar is now creating a big warfare movie, and Vicky Kaushal is his top pick. The project has been discussed, and so far, the conversations have been fruitful. Vicky loved the idea and offered his verbal OK, but he won't sign the movie until the full narration has been completed. It can take a few more months because the movie is still in the writing stage. However, based on early conversations, Vicky appears to be on board with this thrilling period drama.

The source continued, "Laxman is bored with doing small-town stories like Luka Chuppi and Mimi. He wants to make mainstream commercial films now, and this warrior film with Vicky Kaushal is his first attempt towards that. It’s kind of a passion project for him, and he wants to mount it on a much bigger scale than any Maddock Films project to date. Laxman and Vicky had a great bond while shooting their first film and are excited to collaborate again on a story they are both equally passionate about."

The movie is expected to begin production in the middle of 2023, but that depends entirely on Vicky Kaushal's busy schedule, as he already has Meghna Gulzar's Sam Bahadur and Laxman Utekar's untitled next with Sara Ali Khan in the works.
