Fans of Challenging Star Darshan often swear by his dashing demeanour on screen but many admire the softer, more romantic side of his almost just as much. Known to be a bit of a recluse when not shooting, Darshan has ensured that his personal life and his off-the-camera movements remain away from the public purview. But those rare moments wherein he is spotted shedding his macho image turn out to be quite priceless for the same fans, and one such moment, so to speak, occurred very recently.
In a recent unofficial video clip that's now gone viral on social media, the Kaatera actor can be seen serenading his wife Vijayalakshmi to Arijit Singh's blockbuster romantic number, Tum Hi Ho. At what seems like an informal social gathering, Darshan and Vijaya Lakshmi take centre stage and treat their friends to a classic filmy duet - with Darshan striking the famous Shah Rukh Khan 'arms wide apart' pose and all!
Vijayalakshmi Darshan, on the other hand, plays the perfect companion and even shows off a dance move or two while at it. The crowd around them, of course, is evidently having a great time through all the cheers.
26 Years of the Challenging Star
Only a couple of days ago, Darshan's fans emphatically celebrated 26 years of his acting journey by marking the occasion with social media posts and a special CDP or 'Common Display Picture'. Darshan began his career on a modest note in 1997 as a bit player in films and serials, before striking big with the 2002 film Majestic - the same film was recently re-released in theatres in celebration of the landmark. Since then, he has delivered numerous successes as a leading man (and also a producer) and was even bestowed with the 'Challenging Star' title by his fans.
Darshan married Vijayalakshmi in the year 2003 and the couple has a son named Vineesh.
