Vignesh Shivan's recent outing, Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, might have been receiving mixed reviews from the critics, but the film seems to have become a hit among the audience. As a thanksgiving gesture, Vignesh Shivan and the film's leading lady Nayanthara, paid a visit to Shirdi recently.

Vignesh, who shared a picture of the duo from the temple, on his social media page, captioned it, "From Shiridi wit my Kanmani.. gratitude trip to meet Sai Baba for all the lovely moments. #KaathuVaakulaRenduKaadhal #blessed #Blockbuster #ThanksGiving (sic)."

Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal has Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara and Samantha playing the leads. The actors have been basking in the love they have been receiving for their respective characters.

Samantha took to her social media page to thank Vignesh Shivan for her character Khatija that has become a rage among the audience. The actress stated that comedy was her favourite genre and that it was special to be portraying a character that was closer to her real self. She wrote, "Khatija ❤️ Thankyou @wikkiofficial for letting me have fun with the role . Comedy is my favourite genre and it’s always extra special when I get to play a role that allows me to be who I truly am (aka the funny girl). You delivered more than you promised and I will always be grateful ♥️Thankyou @jukalker 💕 @sadhnasingh1 @koduruamarnath 💕I love you ♥️ (sic)."

Nayanthara, too, has been making the most of the attention she has been receiving for her character Kanmani and Vijay Sethupathi for Rambo. Music for the film by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Vijay Kartik Kannan and editing by Sreekar Prasad.

Interestingly, this is the second time that Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi and Vignesh Shivan are working together for a film. They were last seen in Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. Anirudh had scored the music for the film as well and the songs went on to become chartbusters.
