Vikram: Here's when Lokesh Kanagaraj's action spectacle with Kamal Haasan will hit theatres

Probably one of the most-awaited actor-director collaborations in Tamil cinema this year, Vikram, is gearing up for a theatrical release soon. Kamal Haasan is teaming up with Kaithi, Master filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj for the same. Touted to be an action entertainer, the film also features Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil in pivotal roles. Produced by Kamal Haasan himself and R Mahendran under Raajkamal Films International, Vikram's shoot was wrapped up recently in a little over 100 working days.

The makers have announced the film's release date today. Vikram will have a theatrical release across the globe on June 3. “I am waiting with bated breath for our "Vikram" to release world over, in theatres on June 3rd 2022. #VikramFromJune3 ,” announced Kamal Haasan. While it's certain that the film's Telugu version will simultaneously hit theatres on the same day, the status of the release of other versions is not revealed yet. 

Along with the release date announcement, the team has also released a making glimpse from Vikram, where gets the pulse of what the action entertainer is all about, without revealing too many details. The animated discussions between Lokesh Kanagaraj, his assistants and team, including the star cast feature in the slick promo that has got the audience all the more curious about the collaboration. Vikram commenced shoot in August 2021 and managed to wrap its shoot quickly, going by the standards of most films featuring prominent stars in Tamil.

Anirudh Ravichander scores the music for the action entertainer that also brings together Kalidas Jayaram, Narain, Arjun Das and Shivani Narayanan for pivotal roles. Vijay Sethupathi plays the antagonist in the same. Team Vikram also comprises cinematographer Girish Gangadharan and editor Philomin Raj.
