The much-awaited launch of the first single from Kiccha Sudeep’s big budget feature Vikrant Rona might skip its previously announced on-ground event in Bengaluru. The function was supposed to be attended by Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez and the cast and crew of the film.

However, according to sources, this won’t be happening due to unforeseen reasons. Sudeep, on May 21, had taken to his social media page to announce that the track – Gandang Rakkamma – will release on Monday. This was the third-last event planned ahead of the worldwide release of the action-fantasy, directed by Anup Bhandari. The song features Jacqueline, who plays Raquel D’Costa in the movie.

Fans, however, shouldn’t have any cause for disappointment as the release of the Kannada version of the song is still on track. The song will be released at 3.05pm with a lyrical video, while the Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam versions will be out on May 24, 25, 26 and 27, respectively, during the team’s promotional events in the four regions.

Composed by music director Ajaneesh B Loknath, the Kannada track is rendered by Nakash Aziz and Sunidhi Chauhan. The duo has also sung the Tamil and Hindi versions, while Tippu and Bhadra Rajin are part of the Malayalam song.

The film, which will be released in all five languages as well as English on July 28, is touted to be the most expensive movie in Sudeep’s career. Vikrant Rona is produced by Shalini and Manjunath Gowda, with Alankar Pandian as its co-producer.

Salman, who had previously shared screen space with Sudeep in Dabangg 3, will be presenting the Hindi version of the film in North India. PVR Cinemas will be distributing the movie, which also has Nirup Bhandari and Neetha Ashok in supporting roles, in north India.
