Post the success of Bahishkarana, Vikkatakavi, and Gaalivaana, Zee5 is back with yet another web series titled Viraatapalem PC Meena Reporting. YouTuber-turned-actor Abhignya Vutlaluru plays the female lead in this series, which has been directed by Poluru Krishna, who last made the hit web series Recce.
This time, Krishna chooses yet another village drama and sets it amidst a small town where women are killed on their wedding night. The trailer showcases Abhignya entering the village with a special motto to crack the case.
It shows how she is rejected by the villagers and how they do not want an investigation into the killings. When you think the story is about the same old cop coming to the village and investigating the case, you are mistaken.
Director Krishna makes things interesting as he pens a twist that shows the main lead, Abhignya, tying the knot to see if she will survive the so-called curse. Did she survive death? Is there anyone behind these killings? All this will be known when the series streams on June 27, 2025.
The visuals are neat, and the manner in which the trailer is cut also makes things interesting. For Abhignya, this is a massive project, as it gives her a lot of scope to showcase her talent. She perfectly fits the role of a young cop who is quite vulnerable to all the tense situations she faces in her young life.
The series has dialogues by Divya Theja and music by Rohith Kumar. The supporting cast is mostly new faces, and this aspect looks a bit weak, as some noted faces would have made a world of difference.
KV Sriram has produced this series, and he says that the twists and turns will leave you hooked. Not much is known about this series, but the trailer has managed to capture the audience’s imagination big time.
