Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman is known for his reserved personality. However, he has surprised fans with a viral video that showcases his fun side.
The viral video is a recreation of a meme which put a comical spin on the recording of Rahaman's hit Raawadi from the movie Pathu Thala. Singer Shuba posted the viral clip on her Instagram page and took pride in getting Rahman to act in the funny video. "Had to recreate this masterpiece with the OGs Yes- yes I did get @arrahman to act LOL make sure to stream our song Raawadi!!," she captioned her Instagram reel.
In less than 24 hours, the reel has garnered over 1.2 million views as fans seemingly can't have enough of watching Rahman channel his inner actor.
The original meme creators were pleasantly taken back by Rahman's gesture. "Thank you so much," said the meme creators in response to the viral video. "We never expected to see Rahman sir like this," they added.
In recent years, Rahman has become more outspoken . Gone are the days, when Rahman shied away from the media attention. Rahan has now grown more media savvy and he has also shown a lot of inclination to feature on the big screen by making appearances in the music videos.
Recently, Rahman's performance in the Jigu Jigu Rail lyrical video from the upcoming movie Maamannan also garnered a lot of praise.
On the career front, Rahman recently announced that he will be scoring music for Tere Ishq Mein, which is said to be from the 'world of Raanjhana.' The movie stars Dhanush in the lead and is helmed by Anand L Rai.
