Vivek Agnihotri responded to news stories and other publications regarding Brahmastra's most recent box office performance on social media while sharing screenshots of them. Overtaking Vivek's movie The Kashmir Files, Brahmastra became the highest-grossing Bollywood movie of the year. Brahmastra has recently reached the 200 crore club after defeating The Kashmir Files.

Vivek tweeted, "Hahahaha. I don’t know how did they beat #TheKashmirFiles… with sticks, rods, hockey… or AK47 or stones…. Or with paid PR and influencers? Let Bollywood films compete with each other. Leave us alone. I am not in that dumb race. Thanks. #NotBollywood."

Nonetheless, Brahmastra has been successful at the theatres and has also proven to be among the year's few significant successes. According to a source in the Hindustan Times, the movie's total international revenue is getting close to crossing the Rs 350 crore benchmark, surpassing the Rs 340 crore total profits of The Kashmir Files. Brahmastra is thus the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2022.

The Brahmastra movie is the second by Ranbir to make more than Rs 300 crore. The 2018 film, Sanju, was his first. In contrast, this is Alia Bhatt and Ayan's first movie to surpass the significant box office mark. The sequel to Brahmastra has already garnered a tonne of hype. Various theories on Brahmastra Part 2: Dev may be found online. Regardless of the fact that the director of the film, Ayan Mukerji, claimed in a recent interview that they were talking about it long before the fans brought it up. The filmmakers felt compelled to reveal the scientist's past as soon as they learnt about his persona.

Brahmastra Part One: Shiva, the first arc of a fantasy series, hit theatres on September 9. Star Studios, Dharma Productions, Prime Focus, and Starlight Pictures are the movie's producers. Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy also appear in the film.
