Varun Dhawan aided Vivek Agnihotri during a difficult period in his life, the director recently disclosed. The filmmaker revealed that he did not anticipate anyone to assist him during those difficult times. Vivek's most recent film, The Kashmir Files, has become a huge box office triumph, grossing more than Rs 250 crore worldwide on Sunday.
In a recent interview, Vivek gushed about Varun, calling him a "wonderful boy." As he recalled Varun's help, the filmmaker became emotional, clarifying that he was not praising the actor in the hopes of getting him to shoot a project with him.
"I love Varun," Vivek told Siddharth Kannan. The filmmaker revealed that he owes the actor a lot and that he doesn't want to say anything on camera because it's just between the two of them.
Varun helped Vivek quietly at a time when no one else in the world was and has a wonderful soul. The filmmaker went on to say that he doesn't know about stardom and all, but he wishes Varun were always happy and successful. Vivek calls the actor "a wonderful young man," and he adores him.
Vivek's remark comes just days after Varun Dhawan shared a review of The Kashmir Files in which he praised the entire cast and crew, including the director. The actor stated that it's one of the most hard-hitting films ever made, with incredible performances. Every technician has performed admirably. Anupam Kher deserves every award.
Darshan Kumaar, who features in The Kashmir Files, recently revealed that Varun had personally contacted him to compliment his performance in The Kashmir Files.
The Kashmir Files, starring Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, and Mithun Chakraborty, hit theatres on March 11. It is based on the 1990s exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the Kashmir valley.
