PremiumVJS46: It's official! Anukreethy Vas will star opposite Vijay Sethupathi's entertainer film

The makers of Vijay Sethupathi’s 46th film, Sun Pictures took to social media to announce the female lead of the entertainer. It is none other than the 2018’s Miss India beauty pageant, Anukreethy Vas.
The model/actor was also earlier rumoured to appear alongside the Makkal Selvan in the upcoming entertainer before the official announcement on social media. But the makers chose to make the official announcement on her birthday today.
Talking more about Vijay Sethupathi’s 46th film, it is tentatively titled VJS46 and is being helmed by Ponram. The filmmaker is known to have directed a myriad of commercial entertainers like Sivakarthikeyan’s Varuthapadatha Vaalibar Sangam and Rajinimurugan. This time, he is all set to portray the Makkal Selvan in the avatar of a cop, as shown earlier in the promo of VJS46. If you missed it, you can catch it here.
‘Cooku With Comali’ fame Pugazh will also be seen sharing screen space with Vijay Sethupathi for the first time. Snaps of the duo were earlier trending on social media.
The upcoming cop-entertainer is also jointly produced by Sun Pictures and Stonebench Films, which will feature the foot-tapping beats of D Imman. Dinesh Krishnan will be cranking up the cameras for VJS46 alongside Vivekh Harshan, who is taking care of the editing of the film.
Talking about Vijay Sethupathi, the actor is currently on a roll with several projects under his belt. Some of them include Maamanithan, Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal and Vikram among others. He has started filming the second schedule of Vikram with Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil. Vijay has earlier donned the cop avatar for the commercially successful film Sethupathi. VJS46 will be his second venture as a cop.
