In many action films, the climax occurs during the confrontation between the protagonist and antagonist. Now, Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR going at it alone in War 2 raises the stakes even higher. The details of the encounter scene unfolding in the Ayan Mukerji directorial have been unveiled, and it would take place within an aeroplane.
As per the latest reports in Mid Day, the filmmaker has been filming War 2 in a studio in Vile Parle with the supporting cast for the past few months. The plot picks up where the 2019 original left off and follows Hrithik's renegade spy, Kabir Dhaliwal, on another mission. In the same location, Yash Raj Films has leased two spacious floors. Production designer Rajat Poddarr and his crew have developed two sets in preparation for the major action scene in which the star will face off against Jr. NTR's opponent: one depicting the exterior of an aircraft and the other its luxurious interior.
The source told the tabloid that the Telugu superstar travelled to Mumbai yesterday. The two actors will begin filming the fight scene today. This private plane scene was conceptualised by Aditya Chopra, Ayan, and Franz Spilhaus, a South African action filmmaker. The film will feature aerial action, with some of it taking place on the plane's roof. In the film, Jr. NTR will be getting a new look.
After wrapping up the 10-day schedule, the actors and crew will move on to Yash Raj Studios. The espionage thriller will occupy the minds of both actors for the subsequent three months. The schedule includes some dialogue and a significant amount of action. The makers are reportedly stepping up the action in War 2 compared to their previous espionage games, Pathaan (2023) and Tiger 3 (2023).
The source went on to say that Sunil Rodrigues is one of eleven stunt coordinators whom Aditya and Ayan have recruited from throughout the globe. Everyone is responsible for choreographing a single set piece. According to the source, the film will have chase scenes using speedboats, trains, yachts, and planes.
It is anticipated that Kiara Advani, who plays the female lead role, will join the filming in May.
