Love is not always sweet and charming, with adult relationships having as many complexities and nuances about them as people have. Humara Movie chooses to explore just those complex nuances through its new short film, Speechless. And what better day to release the film than on the most romantic day of the year, today on Valentine’s Day.
The film follows the story of Karuna and Satya, a journalist and a comedian respectively, who have been in a relationship for almost a year. Despite their being together for so long, the two find themselves in two very different mindsets when it comes to their relationship and their future together. And their poles-apart mindset comes out when the two decide to have a long drawn-out conversation with each other, leading to a crossroad that marks a defining point in their relationship.

The film stars Mansi Multani and Shantanu Anam as Karuna and Satya respectively. The stars had recently opened up about how relatable the audiences would find the film, with Multani mentioning how the film shines a light on how even good people in modern-day relationships would find themselves at a point where they may feel confused. Anam added in his statement that the film might seem light-hearted at first, but it goes on to explore some deeply fragile and emotional elements as well, pointing to the intricacies of relationships.
The film is directed by Pradeep Menon and produced by Moe’s Art. Talking about the film, the filmmaker had tried to make the relationship drama both soft and hard-hitting. He also teased that there are surprises and twists through the course of the film as well.
