In the action entertainer Shamshera, Ranbir Kapoor plays a larger-than-life classic Hindi film hero. The actor, who is returning to the big screen four years after delivering the hit film Sanju, held an intimate fan meet & greet with roughly 30 lucky admirers and gave them the first poster for Shamshera.

His fans were emotionally overwhelmed and broke down when they were shocked by the presence of their favourite movie star, who rarely makes public appearances and is not available on social media, at an affectionate hush-hush event that took place roughly a month ago.

In a statement, Ranbir stated that his fans were specially invited today to launch the poster of his film Shamshera. There was, however, a slight twist, as they were completely unaware that he was going to meet and spend time with them.

Shamshera's plot takes place in the mythical city of Kaza, where a warrior tribe is imprisoned, enslaved, and tortured by the brutal authoritarian commander, Shudh Singh. This is the story of a slave who became a leader and later a legend for his people. He battles tirelessly for his tribe's freedom and dignity. Shamshera is his name.

The high-octane, adrenaline-pumping spectacle takes place in the 1800s in India's heartland. It holds the enormous promise of a never-before-seen Ranbir Kapoor in the role of Shamshera! In this enormous casting coup, Sanjay Dutt plays Ranbir's arch-enemy, and his showdown with Ranbir will be one to watch out for, as they will savagely go for each other with no mercy.

Vaani Kapoor is the female lead in Shamshera and this is the first time she is working with RK and Dutt on the big screen.

This action extravaganza, directed by Karan Malhotra and produced by Aditya Chopra, is planned to be released on July 22, 2022 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
