When Challenging Star Darshan sought inspiration from Cristiano Ronaldo himself!

It wouldn't be unfair to call Darshan a self-made star. Although his father, the late Thoogudeepa Srinivas, was an established actor in the Kannada Film Industry, Darshan wasn't allowed a free pass into the industry and nor was he given his big break right away. Instead, he was made to start from scratch and move his way up the ranks until his earnestness and a stroke of luck changed things around. Having begun as a light boy in the year 1997, Darshan's first major break came about only in 2002, in the form of 'Majestic'. 

But Darshan, apparently, refrains from glorifying his journey thus far. As much as he is proud of the distance he has travelled and the love he has amassed over the years, the Challenging Star doesn't wish to sugarcoat his story or fake a few details to garner some extra attention. And very interestingly, as it turns out, a certain Mr. Cristiano Ronaldo helped him gain better insights into this perspective!

"I was recently watching (Cristiano) Ronaldo's interview and was in awe of what he was saying. During the conversation, the interviewer referred to his rags-to-riches story and spoke about Ronaldo's upbringing in a poor household, while highlighting how affluent and great his life is today with all the fancy cars, expensive watches and so on. I was so, so impressed by Ronaldo's response - he told the interviewer that regardless of the price of the watch, the time shown on both their devices is exactly the same. However, he adds, his watch reflected the great time that he is experiencing at the moment while the interviewer's watch reflected the state of his time or being in that very moment. What he is trying to say is that both watches show at the same time but his expensive watch reveals his present state of life - what an answer!" said the Kranti actor in a recent conversation with RJ Mayuraa. 

In the same vein, Darshan would touch upon the recent Hosapete incident wherein a slipper was hurled at him by an alleged Puneeth Rajkumar fan. Though, he says, he did not pay much heed to the incident, he did assert that he will speak about that and a lot more in due time when he has finally soaked everything in.
