When will Katrina Kaif’s next with Ali Abbas Zafar make headway? Here’s what the actor has to say

Katrina Kaif is gearing up for her first release of the year,in the form of Phone Bhoot. The actress is certainly keeping busy these days, with a number of projects in the pipeline at the moment. One among them is her next collaboration with her frequent director Ali Abbas Zafar. Reports about the film, which reportedly falls in the superhero genre, have been doing the rounds for quite a while now. The actress recently opened up about her next film with the Tiger Zinda Hai director.

In conversation with Pinkvilla, Katrina referred to Ali as a ‘dear friend’ of hers and revealed that the two are ‘always’ having back and forth conversations. The duo have collaborated on a number of films such as Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Tiger Zinda Hai, and Bharat. “In fact, we spoke the other day, definitely, we will do something soon in the future”, she added.

Ali had recently revealed to News18 that they had initially planned to take the film on floors a long time ago, but the schedule of the film had been disrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The director said that he and Katrina would begin working on the film once they finished their ongoing commitments. The upcoming film was reportedly titled Super Soldier and would be released directly on Netflix.

Meanwhile, Katrina will next be seen haunting the silver screen as a ghost in Phone Bhooot. The horror comedy, directed by Gurmmeet Singh, will see her share the screen with Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ishaan Khattar, Jackie Shroff and Sheeba Chadha. The film is scheduled for release on November 4. The actress is also working on Merry Christmas and Tiger 3.

Ali is currently working on his next actioner Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, which stars Tiger Shroff and Akshay Kumar. The director is also waiting for the release of his next film with Shahid Kapoor, which is tentatively titled Bloody Daddy.
