Where do BTS and BLACKPINK stand on Korean star brand reputation rankings for October?

When one mentions South Korea, a plethora of associations spring to mind, from the globally renowned K-pop sensation BTS to beloved K-dramas, leading tech company Samsung, and the soccer prodigy Son Heung Min. Recently, the Korean Business Research Institute unveiled its celebrity brand reputation rankings for September, leaving fans curious about where their favourite groups, artists, actors, and public figures stand.

These rankings were meticulously calculated by scrutinizing a range of factors, including media coverage, consumer engagement, interaction, and community awareness indexes, based on data collected from September 29 to October 29. The list encompasses a wide array of figures, spanning K-pop groups, sports stars, K-drama actors, chefs, comedians, hosts, and more.

Soccer sensation Son Heung Min maintained his pole position, boasting a remarkable brand reputation index of 9,829,139. Hot on his heels, solo artist Lim Young Woong secured the second spot with a notable score of 8,518,029.

Claiming the third position was none other than the global phenomenon BTS, with an impressive brand reputation index of 7,920,754.

Footballer Lee Kang In made a remarkable leap, securing fourth place with an index of 6,556,810—an astonishing 98.55 per cent surge from the previous month.

Rounding out the top five, BLACKPINK made a significant advancement to claim the fifth place, bolstered by a brand reputation index of 6,316,520, marking a noteworthy 7.30 per cent increase from the prior month.
