BTS' second youngest member, Kim Taehyung, also known by his stage name V, dropped his solo album, 'Layover,' on September 8, 2023. Despite the album's remarkable success and ongoing record-breaking feats, BTS fans referred to as ARMY, are voicing their discontent over the way V has been treated by his agency.

Many fans have taken to social media to voice their concerns and question HYBE and Big Hit Music about the absence of the "This is V" playlist on Spotify. Kim Taehyung is the only BTS member who does not have an exclusive playlist on Spotify, unlike his bandmates Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, and Jungkook.

What are these individual playlists?

Artist playlists on Spotify are a curated selection of music created specifically for an artist's fans and audience. These playlists are added to the artist's profile on Spotify and can feature the artist's original music, collaborations, and sources of inspiration. They serve to enhance the listening experience for the artist's profile visitors and promote the artist's music.

ARMY contend that V deserves his dedicated playlist on Spotify, especially considering it's been over two months since the release of his solo album. They've taken to social media to advocate for equal treatment for V and are urging the necessary actions to be taken on his behalf.

About Kim Taehyung:

BTS's V recently achieved a remarkable feat on the Billboard 200 chart with his album "Layover." When Taehyung made his solo debut in September, his album made an impressive entry into Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart, securing the No. 2 spot. This achievement equalled the record previously set by his fellow BTS members, Jimin and Suga, for the highest position ever attained by a Korean solo album.

Notably, "Layover" is only the second Korean solo album to spend seven consecutive weeks on the Billboard 200 chart, with the first being V's bandmate RM's solo album, "Indigo." V's accomplishment stands out due to the seven consecutive weeks on the chart, marking a significant achievement for his solo debut.
