Munna Bhai 3 is extremely long-awaited, with fans hoping for years, but its development has faced significant delays. However, recent updates from Arshad Warsi suggest that director Rajkumar Hirani is actively working on scripts, potentially signalling renewed hope after previous shelved attempts, such as Munna Bhai Chale America. But Munna Bhai 3 is still on hold and in a new interview, Boman Irani opened up about Munna Bhai 3 and working with Sanjay Dutt.

At the recent song launch of Prabhas' starrer The Raja Saab, Boman Irani was asked about working with Sanjay Dutt and Munna Bhai 3. Boman said that, like any other fan, he has also been manifesting for Munna Bhai 3. He said, "I truly believe that when the time is right, and the story is right, Munna Bhai 3 will happen. I have manifested it in my heart, and I’m hopeful that someday it will come together. Ap log bhi Raju (Rajkumar Hirani) ko par pressure dalo." Meanwhile, in the Munna Bhai franchise, Boman played the role of Dr J. C. Asthana. 

Boman and Sanjay will be seen sharing screen again in The Raja Saab. Revisiting his experience of working with Sanjay Dutt, Boman called it one of the most special phases of his career. He said, "Working with Sanjay Dutt has always been very special. Munna Bhai wasn’t just a film, it was an emotion. We were like a family, and those moments stay with you for life."

Opening up about working with Sanjay after several years, Boman said their bond has “grown stronger over the years.” He described returning to the screen together as a familiar yet refreshing experience, crediting Sanjay's unique energy for creating a relaxed and creatively stimulating working environment.
